The partnership between MESO Reisen and Click A Tree has been in place since 2022.
The tour operator has a balanced CSR management and combines sustainability with first-class travel experiences.
Through this cooperation, a mangrove tree is planted in the Philippines for every package tour booking.
Mangroves contribute to coastal protection, climate protection and the preservation of biodiversity and store carbon from CO? and release oxygen both in the plant parts and in the surrounding sediment.
Reforestation with Click A Tree is carried out under the supervision of experts. Only species that support each other and form closed ecosystems are used.
The local population is employed full-time to run the tree nurseries, carry out reforestation and tree care.
Each mangrove comes with a three-year guarantee: if a seedling does not grow as expected during this time, Click A Tree will plant a new tree at its own expense.
In addition, the employees collect 1 kg of plastic waste from the ocean for every mangrove tree planted.
Over 1000 mangroves have already been planted through the cooperation with MESO Reisen, which means that over 1000 kg of plastic has been collected from the ocean. The ocean plastic is recycled locally in Davao into colorful school chairs. This is what impact looks like!
