Due to numerous inquiries about why Click A Tree wasn’t planting trees in Germany, we’ve decided to introduce an option to meet this demand.<\/p>

Starting in 2024, you can also plant trees in Germany. Germany’s forests need just as much support and care as the forests in our other project countries.<\/p>

Forests in Germany<\/h2>

Germany is home to approximately 11.4 million hectares of forest, which makes up about 32% of the country’s land area\u2014slightly above the global average of 31%.<\/p>

Thanks to sustainable management practices, Germany’s forested area has steadily increased since World War II, despite intensive economic use.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Germany’s trees<\/h2>

According to the 2023 Forest Condition Survey by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL)\u00b9<\/a>, only one in five trees in Germany are healthy.<\/p>

In other words, four out of five trees are unhealthy.<\/p>

The location<\/h2>

Our reforestation project is based in Hesse, Germany.<\/p>

We collaborate with various municipalities and foresters to ensure that trees are planted and maintained as efficiently as possible for the long term.<\/p>

The special feature<\/h2>

Each of our projects has a unique aspect. In Germany, this involves flowering meadows.<\/p>

To protect our endangered native biodiversity, we plant one square meter of flowering meadow for every tree planted and maintain it for five years.<\/p>
