Almost all land creatures need trees as a source of food and habitat.
Trees absorb climate-damaging CO2 and produce oxygen - essential for our survival.

But Ghana is one of the leading countries in the cultivation and export of raw cocoa.

About 33.48 million people live in Ghana. The country ranks 145th on the UN Human Development Index (Germany: 7th; UN Report 2024).
These people also benefit from our projects through fairly paid full-time jobs. After all, social sustainability is particularly important here.
For this reason, two educational projects are also co-financed here.

The location of the project
You will find our reforestation project in central Ghana. The village is called Zongo Macheri.
The exact GPS coordinates are 8°12’11.2″ North and 0°07’14.9″ West.
The educational projects are in the cities of Dambai and Tamale.

The tree species
In Ghana, we now grow over 60 different plant species – including the famous baobab tree.
This is due to the special approach of “syntropic agriculture”. In addition to forest trees, crops are also grown to ensure food security.
