Simple implementation for quick success

Since mid-August 2023, the Best Western Parkhotel Weingarten has been planting trees together with Click A Tree.

And with enormous success: 561 room cleanings were already saved in the first 6 weeks!

More than 600 guests a month now regularly forgo their stay.

In the best month to date, a whopping 719 cleanings were canceled! And that with 72 rooms.

That’s almost 10 cleanings saved per room per month!

The economic added value: saving costs, relieving staff and promoting sustainable commitment at the same time

Guests of the Best Western Parkhotel Weingarten have the option of dispensing with the daily cleaning service.

As a result, one tree is planted in Ghana for every one that is given up.

In addition to positive media attention, there are also economic benefits:

The decreasing number of room cleanings solves the often existing staff shortage.

The existing workforce will be additionally relieved.

The implementation

The Parkhotel in Weingarten is the destination for many coach tours.

The coach tour guides sometimes ask on the coach who would like to do without daily room cleaning – and usually get the entire tour group excited about this option at the same time.

All guests are also informed of this option for their stay by the reception staff at check-in.

Individual guests – whether business or leisure – are also enthusiastic about this project.

As an upsell for events. Large corporations in particular attach great importance to sustainable events and conferences. Trees as an upsell option are extremely popular.
As a gift for the team. At Christmas, Easter or at the big directors’ meetings. Always one tree planted per person.
As part of the Loyalty Program. Loyal guests can exchange their Rewards points for tree plantings.
