The Best Western Parkhotel Weingarten is the destination for many coach travelers.
With the support of the tour guide, entire travel groups forego daily room cleaning and thus support the sustainability project in Ghana.
The cooperation creates cost savings and relieves the burden on staff.

The Best Western Parkhotel Weingarten takes responsibility:
Travel and sustainability are not mutually exclusive, so the hotel plants a tree for every room cleaning that is not requested.
Guests are enthusiastic about the option to forgo room cleaning and plant a tree instead.
Guests are informed of this option at check-in.
An information wall in the lobby informs hotel guests about the hotel’s commitment.
By reducing the number of room cleanings, the Parkhotel saves on cleaning and personnel costs.
The reduced number of daily room cleanings also reduces the workload for staff.
Sustainability as a core competence: The BW Parkhotel Weingarten is managed by Matthias Schenk.
He attaches great importance to the fact that travel and sustainability can be successfully combined.
He particularly appreciates the simple implementation of this cooperation.
The cooperation between the Best Western Parkhotel Weingarten and Click A Tree has been in place since 2023. 3392 trees have now been planted, covering an area of 13,568 m², and 848 hours of work have been created.
The hotel supports the Click A Tree project in Ghana and plants a tree for every room cleaning service that is dispensed with.
The plantations create jobs, promote biodiversity, create habitats for animals and provide education.
The Parkhotel team can view and share the impact achieved by eliminating daily room cleaning with their guests at any time via their Click A Tree Dashboard.
The dashboard is available to all hotels that plant trees together with Click A Tree. It is easily accessible via the login on the website and clearly shows what has been achieved through the tree planting: The area reforested, the trees planted, the CO? absorbed, the education supported, the plastic waste collected from the sea and the work created for local people.
